Don’t laugh now but Iran has hosted an International Conference on Religion., “Religion in the Modern World” The conference was organised by “Foundation for Dialogue among Civilizations’, former Iranian President Khatami, and its partner organizations ‘Club de Madrid’ and the ‘Oslo Center for peace and human rights’. No doubt this is a worthwhile conference and diplomacy to be held in Iran. Every effort in this regard will assist the progress of that nation, its full recognition of minorities, human rights, and moving away from a fearful, violent oppressive policy. I wonder if any of those world leaders will turn up at the Parliament of the World’s Religion’s in Melbourne next year. Talking about high vision of what religion should be in the modern world is still a far step from being a religion of the modern era. Who doesn’t turn up to the Parliament of religions probably indicates who is not up to the mantle of a modern religion.
